Mule to Azure Migration

A structured engagement to help teams understand their MuleSoft estate and establish a repeatable approach to migration to Azure Integration Services. The approach is supported by AI assisted analysis and GitHub Copilot to reduce risk, improve clarity, and validate migration readiness early.

Visibility
Understand the Mule estate

Automated analysis of Mule repositories to identify patterns, dependencies, and migration complexity across the estate.

Foundations
Define migration patterns

Establish Azure Integration Services migration patterns and supporting guidance, tailored to Mule to Azure migration scenarios.

Validation
Prove the approach

Validate the approach through a scoped development migration, enabling the delivery team to prove the patterns against real Mule code.

Outcomes
What you leave with
  • Mule estate analysis with pattern and complexity classification
  • Defined migration patterns for Azure Integration Services
  • Agent roles and prompt assets embedded into repositories
  • One scoped Mule application migrated to AIS in a development environment
  • Validated happy-path integration test created with support from GitHub Copilot
  • Upskilled delivery team with foundational GitHub Copilot knowledge and familiarity with the CopilotWith migration workflow
  • Validated, repeatable workflow teams can reuse independently
  • Clear delivery roadmap for scaling migration safely
  • Increased developer productivity through ongoing use of GitHub Copilot and AI‑assisted workflows
Structure
Four week engagement

Week 1 – Estate analysis and enablement

Analyse Mule repositories, assess complexity, align success criteria, and deliver GitHub Copilot (GHCP) labs upskilling covering general GHCP usage, followed by orientation on how Copilot is applied within the CopilotWith Mule to Azure migration workflow.

Week 2 – Pattern and workflow definition

Define target AIS patterns, agent roles, and prompt guardrails.

Week 3 – Validation through development migration

Migrate one scoped Mule application in a development environment and support the delivery team in creating a happy-path integration test using GitHub Copilot.

Week 4 – Consolidation and delivery planning

Capture lessons learned, finalise assets, and collaborate on a delivery plan for the remaining estate. Define next steps and a roadmap for scaling migration and adoption across the organisation.

This engagement is designed to empower your team through enablement, validation and risk reduction. Your delivery teams will remain hands‑on, owning implementation and testing, while any production deployment is undertaken outside the scope of this package.
